Overview
The Division of Diagnostic Radiology provides the safest and most advanced medical imaging and therapeutic interventions to diagnose and treat disease, illness, and injury. Diagnostic radiology plays a central role in clinical-decision making in medicine and radiology education.
The Division includes several subspecialties with specially trained diagnostic radiologists who interpret:
- Computed tomography (CT)
- Fluoroscopy
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasound or sonography
- X-rays or plain films
The Division of Diagnostic Radiology has state-of-the art technology at 14 VCU Health locations in central Virginia serving inpatient, outpatient and emergency department care, including:
